EVENT REGISTRATION
Ira Township Park

This 25-acre parcel adjacent to the municipal offices may be entered either from Short Cut Road or from the Ira Township municipal parking lot.

The Site includes:

 

  • Large and Small Pavilion
  • Playscapes 
  • Picnic tables
  • Grill and picnic areas.
  • Nature Trails
  • Cornhole
  • Gaga Ball
  • Butterfly Memorial Garden
  • 12 hole Disc golf Course

 

Within the park is the nature trail walking path, well maintained and attractively traversed by Swan Creek. The path is available year 'round! There are benches, grills, for your use. Please remember to keep your pet on a leash and use our new pet waste disposal products while in the park. 

Our parks are monitored but we still need your help to keep our parks safe and tidy. If you

Use of the pavilion is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Park Rules include:

 

  • No Alcoholic Beverages
  • No Motorized Vehicles
  • No Paintball in the Park
  • No Glass in the Park
  • No Smoking in the Park
  • Pets must be on a leash
  • Please pick up after your pet

 

Water Works Park
Don't forget to enjoy our beautiful gazebo, walking path and view at Water Works Park.
Located at the end of Waterworks Drive. There is a paved walkway, and handicap access. Park is accessible by foot or bike. Two handicapped spots are available. Limited parking!

Ira Township Tree Lighting 2020
Disc Golf Map 

Located in the Ira Township park is a 12 hole disc golf course. Our course is available to you year round, during business hours disks are available for rent at the Ira Township Library. Hole 1 starts behind the township offices, ending near the basketball court. Parking is available in the south east end of the township parking lot. Grab some friends and family and come and enjoy the beautiful landscape throughout the trails. Please remember to clean up after yourselves and preserve our course! We are working on expanding to 12 Holes this year!

Pavilion Rental

Ira Township Parks and Recreation allows rentals for the Large Pavilion in the Municipal Park. This is a great area to host a Birthday Party, Family Reunion or Picnic Meeting! The rental fee is $50.00 for Residents and $100.00 for Non-Residents. Interested persons will fill out a Rental Application and sign a Park Use Agreement at time of reservation. The Park itself will remain open to the public. If the pavilion has not been reserved for private use, it will be open to the public on a first come first serve basis.

Blue Water Area Fallen Heroes Banner Program The Community Banner Program is a fund held at the Community Foundation of St. Clair County and is support principally to community members. Do you have photographs? Ira Township will be acquiring  these banners for display at Ira Township

As of 12/1/2022 all 12 baskets have been upgraded to the new yellow MVP Portals.


New! Sponsor a Disc Golf Hole!  Sponsorship amount is $300 per hole. Two of the Twelve Holes have been sponsored: Thompson Phelan Group, Inc and The Alexie's James and Ann. Thank you for your help with Course upgrades!

On the bill are full length concrete tee pads. We are looking for help with fund raising and donations to get these goals met.

From the North: Take 26 Mile (aka Marine City Hwy) to County Line Rd. Turn south on County Line Rd and travel 3 miles south to Green St.(aka. Jefferson Ave/ M-29 Dixie Hwy) Turn Left (east) and follow below directions from the south.

From the south: Take Green St. (aka. Jefferson Ave / 23 Mile Rd / M-29 Dixie Hwy) to Meldrum Rd @ the blinking yellow Emergency Signal. Turn North onto Meldrum Rd. Take Meldrum Rd 1/2 mile North until you get to the township offices and fire station on the right (east). Use the parking lot near the township municipal offices.


Disc Golf Course located south of the playgrounds and water plant. Hole 1 starts behind Township office parking lot. Holes 8-12 are in the woods North of Hole 7 basket. Take the path around the back fence of the DPW buildings.



Hugging the shores of Lake Huron, the St. Clair River, and Lake St. Clair, the Bridge to Bay Trail is a combination of bike lanes, paved shoulders, rail trail, and separated side paths that connect trail users 54-mies from Lakeport State Park to Algonac State Park, and beyond!

    • We welcome your attendance at our meetings! Your suggestions and input are valuable tools for future programs!
