SPECIAL BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING. The Ira Township Board of Review will hold a Special December Board of Review meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 8:30 am in the Township Offices, 7085 Meldrum Road. This special meeting of the Board of Review is for regular business under MCL 211.53b. When there has been a clerical or a mutual mistake of fact relative to the correct assessment figures, or mathematical computation, the error shall be verified by the local assessing officer and approved by the Board of Review. Generally, the authority of the July/December Board of Review is limited to correction of clerical errors, mutual mistakes of fact, hardship exemptions and qualified agricultural exemptions (farming).
BUILDING DEPARTMENT
The Building Department is committed to protect, maintain and improve the health, safety, welfare and quality of life for residents and businesses located in our township through the enforcement of the State of Michigan construction Codes and local ordinances established for those purposes. All forms for the Building Departments are available at the Building, Planning & Zoning Forms link.
The department oversees and approves all residential, commercial, and industrial construction within the township. Permit applications, plan review and inspections are processed daily. Staff members assist with the tasks of providing permit information and procedures along with enforcing code compliance. Please call with any questions or concerns.
