This 25-acre parcel adjacent to the municipal offices may be entered either from Short Cut Road or from the Ira Township municipal parking lot.

Within the park is the nature trail walking path, well maintained and attractively traversed by Swan Creek.
Park Rules include:
- No Alcoholic Beverages
- No Motorized Vehicles
- No Paintball in the Park
- No Glass in the Park
- No Smoking in the Park
- Pets must be on a leash
- Please pick up after your pet

Water Works Park
Ira Township Waterworks Park is located at 8375 Waterworks Drive.

The park has also benefited from Eagle Scout projects: Gazebo, Benches, Flag Pole and Safety Kiosks, completed on the site.
Ira Township Waterworks Park has recently added Accessible Kayak Launch, Parking and Path, made possible with Grants from Ralph Wilson Legacy Foundation, St. Clair County Parks, Community Foundation of St Clair County Family Fund and St Clair County EDA
Ira Township Parks and Recreation allows rentals for the Large Pavilion in the Municipal Park. This is a great area to host a Birthday Party, Family Reunion or Picnic Meeting! Interested persons will fill out a Rental Application and sign a Park Use Agreement at time of reservation. The Park itself will remain open to the public.

In 2025, Ira Township was awarded a DNR Recreation Passport Grant for an ADA Compliant Treehouse and Nature Trails at Swan Creek Park. We have received tremendous support from
Community Foundation of St Clair County
for this exciting project in the form of Consultants and a Challenge Grant Award from Rural Communities Project!
We are honored to host this beautiful Blessing Box, built by Ira Firefighters Association and installed at Ira Township, 7085 Meldrum, 48023. Conveniently located next to the Township Offices.
Whether a Need for Food or a Need to Give, pantries help neighbors feed neighbors, nourish neighborhoods and build community!
Blue Water Area Fallen Heroes Banner Program The Community Banner Program is a fund held at the Community Foundation of St. Clair County and is supported principally by community members. Ira Township has acquired these banners for display at Ira Township Memorial Weekend.

As of 12/1/2022 all 12 baskets have been upgraded to the new yellow MVP Portals.
New! Sponsor a Disc Golf Hole! Sponsorship amount is $300 per hole. Two of the Twelve Holes have been sponsored: Thompson Phelan Group, Inc and The Alexie's James and Ann. Thank you for your help with Course upgrades!

if you pack it in, please remember to pack it out or use the trash cans. A nice 12 - hole course with short and long tee's. Play them both for a round of 24!
Disc Golf Course located south of the playgrounds and water plant. Hole 1 starts behind Township office parking lot. Holes 8-12 are in the woods North of Hole 7 basket. Take the path around the back fence of the DPW buildings.

Our 4th Annual
Dogtober Festival is right around the Corner! This is a Celebration of Dogs and Owners, Saturday, October 3rd, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Ira Township Municipal Park. All service related organizations, dog trainers, dog rescue organizations, Dog Demonstrators and people with Dog products are welcome.
Vendors are required to submit an application and donate an item for our Doggie Door prizes! This event is Sponsored by Dakota's D'Tailed Dog Grooming!
